A Vision for Healthy Organic Food and a Cause
The TX Bar Family and History
My Dad, Tyler Martinez, was born and raised in Porterville, California, went to College at Chico State and got an agriculture business degree. After college, he moved to Red Bluff with my Mother, Patricia Martinez, and started his own business in risk management/commodities and was manager of the Red Bluff Bull and Gelding Sale for 12+ years, giving back to the community and local charities though out his tenure as a manager and pillar in the community. While doing that, I was born. My name is Travis Martinez and I have two sisters, Jennifer Martinez and Deidre Martinez.
While raising his family and knowing that his independence is what keeps him going, my Dad decided to get his Real Estate Broker’s license because he was a man of vision and independence, and he saw that land and real estate was the next big boom in our economy. His business background and his knowledge of the surrounding area made him successful in his new business venture.
All of his time with being a successful business man, he also stuck with his passion with which he was raised and that was being a cattlemen, adding to his heard at every moment possible. Being a man of vision, he saw that the world would start wanting a healthier, humane product and would want to know where their food came from, so he started producing cattle with no antibiotics, no hormones, and cattle raised on all natural grass fed pasture, the way that cattle are supposed to be raised – not in a feed lot being fed God knows what and standing in their own waste their entire life with no exercise.
That being said, along with my father, we started Tx Bar Organics just after I graduated Cal State San Marcos in San Diego with a Communications and Marketing Degree. We Started the idea of Food for a Cause and combining my Dad’s cattle resources with my knowledge of new media and marketing, we built the new idea of Tx Bar Organics. Tx does not stand for Texas, it stands for the brand that is on our cattle and represents our family name.
Speaking of our family name, here is a little more about our family. My Mom, Patricia Martinez, was born and raised in Santa Maria and Graduated Chico Sate with an business degree in accounting. After Graduating, she was hired as a CPA accountant at Crain Walnut Shelling, a major worldwide walnut manufacturing corporation and has worked there for the past 20 years and all while handling the books for our family businesses as well. Jennifer Martinez, my sister, studied at UCSB and graduated with a degree in international business then went to Chico state university to get her graduate degree in international business. She is now head of the foreign exchange program at Chico State and is in charge of all the students that travel though Chico State’s exchange programs, she also hosts students that come from other countries as well. Deidre, my other sister, was an accounting major at Chico State and now works for Morgan Stanley in the Napa Valley Branch.
A Vision of Hope for Our Communities
As a family owned business, we wanted Tx bar Organics, to gave back to the community while still keeping the the energy and passion alive for raising cattle the right way, where cattle have enough room to graze and live a naturally healthy lifestyle with no added hormones or antibiotics, and with no use of cattle prods or excessive traveling and stress. We started this business for people who want to know where their food comes from and how it is treated throughout their life, as well as to give back to the people who truly need it in this time of hardship in our economy.
It doesn’t feel right to just take and take without giving back and helping those who need it. That is why we came up with Food for a Cause, where for every 20 lbs of product sold, we will give one pound of ground beef to a needy family that has recently lost their jobs due to hardships in our economy. Through this cause we hope to feed families starting in the local surrounding areas and hoping to go nationwide and then feeding starving families across the world.
It all starts with an Idea and hard work, and if everyone chips in for the cause, who knows, maybe we can help feed every starving child in America and then the world. This is the start of a movement to help people, while putting healthy food into your body. We know those of you who can afford to buy good food want to know where it comes from and how it is treated, and in this process, you will be helping feed others healthy food.
Our business is not a major corporation, it is a small family-run business that does all the hard work. We do not just sit back and have people do our work for us. That is not how we were raised and that is not who we are. We are just regular, hard working people that have found a way to give back through doing what we love and what we were raised to do: treat the land and animals with respect while giving back to the people who need it more than we do.
We hope that you will join our Food for a Cause campaign and become a long-lasting customer who knows that when you buy food from Tx Bar Organics, you are not only eating healthy food from a trusted source, but you are also helping feed the less fortunate.
Thanks for your support!
